Strasburg Township and West Lampeter Township combine to make up the Lampeter Strasburg School District. Strasburg offers breathtaking views of Amish farmlands plus a wide array of attractions including The Strasburg Rail Road, the oldest continually operating public utility in Pennsylvania, and the nation’s largest professional Christian theatre company, Sight & Sound Theatres. A stroll along charming Main Street provides many dining options, quaint shops and an aesthetically pleasing background of farmlands and carefully preserved buildings from the 1800s.
West Lampeter Township has a unique mix of agriculture and suburban country development. While it has grown over the past decade, it still has a strong sense of agricultural preservation. There are nice neighborhood parks in several developments, including Apple Croft, Windy Hill, Millstream Village, Southridge Farms, and Heatherfield. Each year residents look forward to the popular West Lampeter Community Fair. The beautiful community of Willow Street is located in the western portion of the township.
