The Ephrata Area School District is located in the northeastern section of Lancaster County and is comprised of Clay and Ephrata townships. Popular towns include Akron, Clay, Frysville, Mt Airy and Springville. The school district’s location near the Pennsylvania Turnpike and other highways provides easy access to other areas for commuters.

The historical community of Ephrata has the largest population, and is the economic and cultural center of the district.
