This Sunday, May 8 is Mother’s Day! It’s a special day for many and there are special events all across Lancaster County available to celebrate Mom or the special women in your life. Here are a few things to check out:
Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day Convoy: This annual event features a convoy of 18-wheelers that leave from Burle Business Park and travel throughout parts of Lancaster, including Ephrata and Akron, before returning. This year’s convoy is attempting to make the Guinness Book of World Records! For more information on the convoy, go here.
Hershey Gardens and The Hershey Story: Moms are admitted for free on Mother’s day. Explore The Hershey Story museum or the Hershey Gardens, both open from 9 am to 5 pm.
Herb and Garden Faire: Taking place at Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum on Saturday, May 7th from 9 am to 5 pm, the Herb and Garden Faire offers an abundance of plants and good food! Get more info here.
Annual Olde York Street Fair: If you feel like a short travel, the annual street fair is happening in downtown York on Sunday May 8th from 12:30 to 6 pm. This year is York’s 41st street fair, and will feature arts and craft vendors, kids activities and plenty of food vendors! Get all the details here.
