Lancaster Real Estate Market Update

The local real estate market continues to heat up, as we typically see this time of year! The Lancaster County Association of Realtors just released their latest press release with updates on the market. Read on for a snapshot of what they reported:

  • 472 homes sold in April – a 4.9% increase from 2015
  • Average sales price for April is up 5.2% from last year
  • 862 new home listings in April – a 4.4% decrease from 2015
  • Pending home sales increased 20.2% in April to 673 (from 560 last year)

“The spring housing market continues to heat up, despite the very tight inventory for the most popular price points,” said LCAR president Lynn Zimmerman. “Multiple offers are more frequent, properties are selling quicker . . . it’s truly an ideal time for anyone wishing to sell their home.”
