The real estate market here in Lancaster County has certainly been an interesting one here in 2021. Today we are sharing some stats from the market for November of 2021, particularly compared to November of 2020.
As you can see, consistent with the past several months, new listings in November were down over 10% from last year which speaks to the low inventory (total homes for sale) that we’ve been seeing. Since there are fewer homes for sale, it stands to reason that total home sales would also be down, which they were slightly from last year – coming in at 524 homes sold in November 2021 compared to 532 in November 2020.
One thing that has remained consistent throughout 2021 is the rise in median sales price. November 2021 showed a 10.2% increase over 2020, with the median price coming in at $269,950.
We know that these numbers, and talk of the market, can be confusing and can make a move seem impossible. If you’ve got any questions about the market or making a move, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! We’re always available to answer your questions and to be of service however we can.
