Holiday Happenings in Lancaster, PA

Are you finding it hard to believe Christmas is less than a week away? Us too. It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the shopping and wrapping and cooking to prepare for the holidays. However, most local schools from Manheim Township to Ephrata, Donegal to Hempfield, are wrapping up school this week for their holiday break. Whether you’re wondering how you’re going to fill the time, or just looking for a fun holiday activity, we’ve got a list compiled here for you:

Dutch Winter Wonderland – Our local amusement park is full of lights and most rides are still open for business from 12/23 and 12/26-12/30.

Hershey Park Christmas Candy Lane – If you you’re up for a little drive, Hershey Park transforms into a beautifully lit place for family entertainment this time of year. For those of you living in Elizabethtown or Mount Joy, Hershey may be even closer than Dutch Wonderland! Don’t forget to swing by Chocolate World to warm up and enjoy some treats! Open through January 1 (except Christmas Day).

Manheim Township Community Park – For those of you looking for low maintenance winter fun, drive through Manheim Township Community Park for a fun light-show, where the lights dance to the music, and you don’t even have to get out of your car!

American Music Theater’s Christmas Show – AMT’s annual Christmas show this year is called Home for the Holidays, features a medley of Christmas classics, and runs through December 30th.

Dutch Apple Dinner Theater – Featuring White Christmas, the Musical, based on the beloved movie, catch a show at Dutch Apple before January 6th.

If you decide to venture out to one of these attractions, head over to our Facebook page and share some photos with us!

Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season!
