On November 21, our community will once again come together for ExtraGive—Lancaster County’s largest day of online giving. For 24 hours, thousands of neighbors join forces to support the nonprofits that make Lancaster a more compassionate, connected, and resilient place to call home.
Since 2012, ExtraGive has raised over $100 million for local organizations. It’s a day that reminds us how generosity—whether $10 or $100—creates real impact when we give together. This year, we’re proud to highlight two incredible organizations that are making a meaningful difference: Lancaster County Food Hub and Meals on Wheels of Lancaster.
Lancaster County Food Hub: Meeting Essential Needs With Dignity
For decades, the Lancaster County Food Hub has served as a lifeline for individuals and families facing hardship. Under the leadership of Paige McFarling and with support from dedicated board members—including Craig H—the Food Hub provides vital services designed to restore stability and offer hope to neighbors in need.
The Food Hub’s core programs include:
- Free, quality clothing for children and adults
- Food pantry services that help bridge gaps in food security
- Emergency assistance for rent, utilities, and other urgent needs
- Connections to community resources that support long-term stability
Their approach centers on dignity and respect—ensuring that every person receives compassionate care during difficult times. ExtraGive donations help the Food Hub continue meeting rising community needs and expand services for local families. Craig sat down with Paige to talk about the Food Hub. Watch below.
Meals on Wheels of Lancaster: Delivering Nourishment, Care & Connection
Every day, Meals on Wheels of Lancaster prepares and delivers hot, nutritious meals to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and homebound neighbors throughout our county. Led by Executive Director Feleen Nancarvis and supported by Director of Volunteers & Community Engagement Doug Hopwood, the team ensures that no one is left feeling isolated or hungry.
For many clients, the volunteer who arrives with a meal is the only person they see all day. ExtraGive donations help Meals on Wheels serve more routes, prepare more meals, and reach more neighbors who depend on this essential lifeline. Craig sat down with Feleen and Doug to discuss Meals on Wheels of Lancaster. Watch below.
